New Season, New Focus
March 2nd, 2017 | Posted in Real Estate News
March brings us a new season, and with it an invigorated focus on industry news, architecture, and interior design. The landscape of our city is constantly changing, from the opening of the Second Avenue subway to mega-developments such as Hudson Yards and Essex Crossing. Despite economic and political uncertainty developers in Manhattan and Brooklyn continue to push forward and 2017 will see 7,500 new condo units come onto the market.
While it’s true that fewer transactions over $3 million dollars are trading, everything else is business as usual. One thing is certain: projects with reputable developers and starchitects are receiving the strongest consideration from buyers. For instance, Related’s 15 Hudson Yards is already 25% sold in less than 4 months. According to industry experts, it is the fastest-selling new construction project of 2017 so far. In addition, 10 Hudson Yards, the commercial component, has already attracted a who’s who in finance, fashion, and tech. What else is attracting buyers to Hudson Yards… their appetites. Thomas Keller, Costas Spiliadis of Milos, Joes Andres are already on board and it is rumored Danny Meyer will open a 46,000 sq. ft. marketplace. You can see and learn more about the project here.
